The goal is to have the rear portion of the support rail at or above the water line when the trailer is positioned on a boat ramp as shown in illustration (D). The specific height of those support members can be selected based on the size of the pontoons, the length of the trailer, and the slope of the ramp. The support member near the center of the trailer is shorter than the support member near the rear of the trailer.
